Exercise is a simple way to lift you up because it has so many health benefits. It improves your mood, reduces your stress, helps with sleep, and supports a robust immune system, just to name a few.  It also plays a key role in preventing and/or delaying many of the age-related health problems so many see as they grow older. 

Work to aim for:

  • 150-300 minutes a week (ex: 30-60 minutes a day, 5 days a week) of moderate-intensity activity such as brisk walking. Or 75-150 minutes a week of vigorous-intensity activity such as hiking, swimming or running

  • At least two days a week of strength training

  • Plus daily activities to improve balance, flexibility, and stability
